Description of Secrid Miniwallet Art Collection

Product Information:

Secrid presents the Art Collection, with masterpieces from the Rijksmuseum and the Mauritshuis. With these wallets four masterpieces are literally within reach: The Girl with a Pearl Earring, Still Life with Flowers, The Goldfinch and The Night Watch. Timeless creations depicted on high-quality leather, which faithfully reproduces even the smallest details of the painting.

Still life with flowers, 1613

Still lives of flowers were a popular subject in the Golden Age of Dutch art and Jacob Vosmaer is regarded as a preeminent painter of the genre. Vosmaer’s masterpiece can be found in the Rijksmuseum’s Gallery of Honour. The richness of colour in Vosmaer’s composition makes this wallet an ideal fashion accessory.

The Goldfinch, 1654

Fabritius’ painting depicts a goldfinch in life size. Goldfinches were popular pets, as they could be taught tricks like drawing water from a bowl with a miniature bucket. High detail printing ensures that the individual brushstrokes are distinguishable on the leather wallet.

Girl with a Pearl Earring, 1665

The Girl with a Pearl Earring is one the most iconic works of the Dutch Masters. Vermeer was the master of light. This is shown here in the softness of the girl’s face and the glimmers of light on her moist lips. And of course the pearl, consisting only of a few masterfully placed brushstrokes, which takes center stage on the wallet.

The Night Watch, 1642

Master of light and shadow, Rembrandt shows his full talent in this iconic work. It is for this reason that the Night Watch is the centerpiece of the Rijksmuseum and a national treasure of the Netherlands. The original is noteworthy also for its impressive size, but we are sure it is just as inspiring in pocket-size.

Details and finishing

Wallets have a lot to endure. Therefore, Secrid always test every new items and develop on quality and durability. After elaborate testing Secrid can confirm that the print retains its appeal and does not bleed colour during use.

Supple Italian calf leather serves as the base for the Art collection. The art works have been printed on the leather in exquisite detail. Showing the smallest details such as the cracks in the paint. An engraving on the inside of the wallet tells of the paintings and in which museum it can be found.
